Activated Carbon KURARAY COAL™ GLC, GLC-P grade

Features

  • This high-purity activated carbon is produced from carefully selected coconut shells and features a well-developed pore structure ranging from micro to macropores.
  • Its pore distribution makes it highly effective for decolorization, while offering excellent durability.
  • It can be regenerated using either chemical or thermal processes, enabling repeated use of the activated carbon.
  • JSFA (Japan’s Specifications and Standards for Food Additives)-compliant grades are available.
  • It has also been adopted as an alternative to adsorption resins.

Are you facing any of these challenges?

  • In the powder activated carbon (PAC) feeding process, fine powder easily disperses, making it time‑consuming to keep the work environment clean…
  • The manual PAC loading process is physically demanding and places a heavy burden on workers…
  • Managing the PAC filtration process requires significant labor and operational costs…
  • Disposal costs for spent PAC are increasing…
  • To align with the SDGs, you want to reuse activated carbon as much as possible…
