Catalyst:
Catalyst plays a central role in chemical reactions, and even trace impurities or by-products can diminish their performance. Kuraray’s activated carbon lineup includes products used as catalyst supports and grades optimized through pore structure adjustment and removal of metal impurities.
Purification of plating solution:
In plating processes, impurities and by-products accumulate in plating baths over time, leading to reduced plating quality and shorter bath life. Kuraray’s activated carbon and activated carbon filter selectively adsorb organic decomposition products and metal impurities, helping maintain bath cleanliness.
Purification of amine solution:
Amine solutions (MEA, DEA, MDEA, and others) used in CO₂ recovery and gas purification processes accumulate thermal decomposition products, reaction by-products with acidic gases, and organic impurities during operation. These impurities can cause solution degradation, corrosion, and reduced absorption efficiency.
